Born in 1960, Seema Kohli has carved her niche in contemporary art, focusing on a woman’s physical attributes, intellect, thoughts, dreams and realities celebrating the beauty, sensuality, and intimacy, embodying a search for the self, whilst reflecting her own conceptual and creative growth.
Kohli’s canvases hold layered stories rooted in philosophy and modern knowledge, blurring the lines between the real and imagined aspects of the female form. Her diverse creative repertoire spans painting, murals, installation performances, films, sculptures, expressing her unique style. Kohli’s interactive sessions and performances span diverse platforms globally, and she has received accolades, including the Gold at Florence Biennale 2009, YFLO Women Achiever’s Award, and LKA Lifetime Achievement Award for Women in 2008.
