Puja Kshatriya, born in New Delhi, India, 1951 commenced her artistic journey from a young age. A merit scholar from the College of Art, Delhi, she skilfully blends geometric and free-flowing organic forms on textured surfaces.
Over the years, her artistic evolution encompasses themes such as gender relationship, primarily focusing on the female form concentrating on the precision of the male form. Kshatriya, soon shifted focus and delved into nature, exploring the forms and hues of the flora and fauna. Her artwork emits mysterious curiosities depicting a combination of multiple art forms to pursue beauty in colour and design using various fine art techniques like analogue collage like patchwork, marbling, and painting, she introduced modern materials, such as acetate sheets, creating a new visual language that juxtaposes beauty with time.
Puja’s work has garnered recognition, including the Chandigarh Art Museum Award, Sahitya Kala Parishad Award, and the Jury Award at the Festival of Art, Dubai.
